This site introduces the Maskedparty concept. The game is not yet publicly available, and some rules may change.

How a round works

One team. Secret roles.

A game lasts three rounds. Your team enters a dungeon with a shared objective, but every player also receives a secret mission.

01 / THE SECRET

Get your role

At the start of each round, the game assigns every player a secret role. Read your mission and keep your role to yourself.

02 / THE DUNGEON

Enter the dungeon

You have about 25 to 35 minutes to complete the dungeon. Work together while keeping everyone's secret objectives in mind.

03 / THE COUNCIL

Time for the council!

After the dungeon, compare your suspicions and try to uncover the other players' roles. Each correct guess earns a point and could turn the game around.

04 / WHAT'S NEXT

Play the next rounds

Roles are reassigned at the start of every new round. After three rounds, the player with the most points wins the game!

5–10players
25–35 minper round

Players can die any number of times and respawn at a spawn point. Each teammate's death takes 10 seconds off the clock.

For friends watching from the sidelines

Watch the dungeon live.

Spectators are part of the experience: they can watch the dungeon live, hear the players, and switch viewpoints to follow anyone in the party.

Spectators can talk to each other in a separate voice channel. They can hear the players, but the players cannot hear them, so no hints reach the dungeon.

Eight possible identities

Who are you really?

Roles are reassigned each round. Not every role will appear every time, and more than one player may receive the same role. Select a card to read its details.

A round does not necessarily include all eight roles. The lineup is drawn at random according to the game's rules.

How to play this role

    Role points

At the council: +1 point for each role you identify correctly. Identify the Shapeshifter's true role to earn an extra +1 bonus point.

      Scoring

      Every deduction counts.

At the end of the dungeon, you can earn points at the council. The scoring below is a work in progress and may change after the first games.

Your role's mission+1 per role correctly identified at the councilRound score
RoleRole points per roundMaximum total with 5 playersMaximum total with 10 players
      Impostor−2 to +2+7+12
      Puppet−4 to +3+8+13
      Sentinel0 to +2+7+12
      Reaper−2 to +3+8+13
      Traitor−2 to +3+8+13
      Dictator−2 to +2+7+12
      Shapeshifter−3 to +5+9+14
      Oracle0 to +2+7+12

About the maximums: These are theoretical limits per round. They include role points, every role correctly identified at the council and, except for the Shapeshifter, the bonus for correctly identifying the Shapeshifter when present. If there is no Shapeshifter that round, subtract 1 point from the other roles' maximums.

Points add up across the three rounds. The player with the most points wins the game.

      Frequently asked questions

      Before you enter the portal.

      How many players can join?

A game is designed for 5 to 10 players.

Do I keep the same role throughout the game?

No. A new role is assigned at the start of each round.

How long does a dungeon take?

A round lasts about 25 to 35 minutes at most. The party must complete the dungeon before time runs out.

Can more than one player get the same role?

Yes, depending on the party size and the host's settings. Roles are still assigned at random, and some combinations are not allowed.

      Can spectators talk to players?

No. They can hear the players, but use a separate voice channel that cannot send information to the party.

      Can I play Maskedparty already?

The game is still in development. This page explains how it works and introduces its roles; the rules and scoring may change.
